Joint venture “KazElektroPrivod” (KEP)
The main activity of the company is production and assembly of P80 point machines under the license and technology of ALSTOM.
JV KEP was formed in 2013 and signed the procurement agreement for 10,000 point machines for “National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC. Today, KEP assets are equally shared by Alstom and “SOP Trade” LLP. The company, which occupies 2,870 sq.m., employs more than 50 people, providing the procurement of P80 point machines for KTZ. 3,120 point machines have been already put into commercial operation. The point machines manufactured in KEP have proven their reliability and full compliance with the infrastructure of Kazakhstan railways.
